A doctor is a medical professional who is trained to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries. Doctors work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices, and they may specialize in a particular area of medicine, such as pediatrics, surgery, or internal medicine.
To become a doctor, an individual must study for a long time. After completing medical school, doctors must also complete a period of supervised training, known as a residency, in their chosen field of medicine.
Doctors are responsible for a wide range of duties, including conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and treating illnesses and injuries. They also play a vital role in educating patients about their health and providing guidance on how to maintain and improve their overall well-being.
